A brutal experience throws fifteen-year-old Jess into a blurry solitude and silent time. He remains alone with his pain, repressed emotions and his own feeling of guilt and is not able to find words to express what he feels. His parents and other boys in his BMX gang offer no refuge. Visual suspense and rejection, minimalistic sound design and composition isolation. Gus van Sant’s Paranoid Park from the Belgian suburbs.
