Der SchüblingDeath by Suffocation

Directed by: Visar Morina

Germany, 2010

Jury statement: A perfectly composed existential drama that turns into a thriller grown from a very convincing seed that kept its audience on the edge of their seats.

It depicts with a tender touch a gut-wrenching and poignant story without ever becoming sentimental or overtly dogmatic. The films creators, in front of and behind the camera, have a keen eye for human psychology and the jury are unanimous in their decision and very much looking forward to seeing their first feature.
