The Immaculate Conception of Little Dizzle
Directed by: David Russo
Jury statement: The Fresh Generation award 2010 goes to a fresh, challenging, visually innovative, depressingly funny film about life, death and stuff. We would like to see more of this promising director David Russo.
Der Schübling / Death by Suffocation
Directed by: Visar Morina
Jury statement: A perfectly composed existential drama that turns into a thriller grown from a very convincing seed that kept its audience on the edge of their seats.
It depicts with a tender touch a gut-wrenching and poignant story without ever becoming sentimental or overtly dogmatic. The films creators, in front of and behind the camera, have a keen eye for human psychology and the jury are unanimous in their decision and very much looking forward to seeing their first feature.
Directed by: Edward Housden
Jury statement: A visually beautiful study of a young boy‘s world set in an immensely fascinating milieu. With fantastic performances from the film‘s young leads we hope to see more from the filmmakers.
Sauvage / Savage
Directed by: Paul Cabon
Jury statement: Why would you run naked down the street like this? To head for the forest so you could finally be a wolf.
Find out more about the movie here.

Roma Boys – Příběh lásky / Roma Boys - Love Story
Directed by: Rozálie Kohoutová
Czech Republic, 2009
Jury statement: The jury appreciated the unbiased insight into a love relationship between gay Roma as well as the director’s pure style and witty play with reality and fiction. In addition, the author ventured into a very original topic, concentrating only on her narration, without losing the focus of the story.
