The opening of Stefan Höderath's exhibition tonight at showroom 22PRESENTS
Another guest of Prokop Bartoníček, author of project 22PRESENTS, is Stefan Höderath, a young photographer living in Berlin who works with a plate camera he customized himself. The exhibition opening will take place tonight 7 pm, in the Showroom 22PRESENTS.
“Timescan photographs” expand the bounds of the moment-based medium photography to let it become a time-based medium. By using a technique similar to the principle of the focal plane shutter the four dimensions of space and time get depicted in two dimensions of a photograph. While taking a timescan photograph the frame gets exposed column by column from left to right. The resulting image formed through the continuous floating movement of the column is a photographic diagramme of time.
