MC Jean Gab´1
Radical French rapper will present his film Black in Competition at the Fresh Film Fest. This Official Selection - Fresh Generation entry is considered a French punch-answer to the American recent title Black Dynamite (dir. Scott Sanders). MC Jean Gab´1 is Black's leading star.
Truck Turner (dir. Jonathan Kaplan)
One of the Fresh Film Fest films is Truck Turner (Fresh Classic / Blaxploitation Night). The main star is based on Southspark´s Chef. Nevertheless he is also a funkysoul singer. The screening marathon of the black classic „Blaxpoitation Night“ stars on Fresh Film Fest at Midnight on Friday and is about to finish on Saturday morning. Isaac Hayes is Truck Turner and during the same night Pam Grier transforms into Foxy Brown.
RAPublika
The section named OSMA (Czech debuts and second film features 2008/2009) presents a film by Pavel Abraham on Thursday.
I Come with the Rain (dir. Tran Anh Hung)
Not only concerting in Prague but also playing on I Come with the Rain – is Radiohead. The film has its International festival premiere at the Fresh Film Fest.
Massive Attack
The most significant sound of the late 90´s on I Come with the Rain. The sound of Massive Attack plays same part as the sound of Radiohead does.
Floex
The official sound of the trailer of the 6th Fresh Film Fest has been composed by multi-instrumentalist, DJ and sound- magician Floex.
DJ Arnoštek
So it´s coming. It´s floating. What? Fresh Film Walks since 2008. The screenings in the open air have been held at several cities of the Czech Republic. One of the Fresh Film Walks will present short films by Tomáš Vorel the creator of DJ Arnoštek on August, 6th.
Sjón
Björk´s lyrics writer, an Academy Award Nominee for Trier´s Dancer in Darkness, is one of the jury member in the Fresh section Theatre Optique.
