Benedek Fliegauf (1974, Hungary)
Benedek Fliegauf is one of leading filmmakers of Hungary’s new generation. In addition to directing, he also writes scripts, designs sets, composes... His first feature film, FOREST, won international acclaim and opened doors towards a career in world cinema. His second film, DEALER, also collected many awards, and was crowned all-round winner of the Mar del Plata Festival, winning four awards, including the one for Best Film. His third film, MILKY WAY, which was screened at the 13th Sarajevo Film Festival, was awarded the prestigious Golden Leopard Award at the 2007 Locarno Film Festival. He is currently in postproduction for his fourth film and first film in English, WOMB.
