Several of the music videos in this year’s selection were made in Australia and New Zealand. A music video specialist, Natalie van den Dungen, made a charming animation for Dan Deacon, Emma Freeman caught our attention with a perfect blend of style and CocoRosie’s music and Special Problems created a poem full of falls and beats.

The renowned music video house Partizan, brought us Kinga Burza and his popart “Oh No!” for Marina and the Diamonds. Keith Schofield’s exceptional piece for Chalotte Gainsbourg has made a splash around the world and so did the single-take “Drunk Girls” by Spike Jonze.

The independent scene pays homage to music video as art form with a video by American filmmaker Cam Archer or Kevin Wildt’s recording of a wild party.
