Belgian director of photography Yves Cape is coming to Prague to talk about his work, style and coopeation with French director Bruno Dumant, Claire Denis or Leos Carax.

Belgian director of photography Yves Cape is known foremost thanks to the long lasting cooperation with extravagant French director Bruno Dumant (Humanité, Flanders, Outside Satan). He also worked with Claire Denis (White Material), Leos Carax (Holy Motors) or freshly with awarded Michel Franco (Chronic). Master Class is held in English with free entry.

David is a nurse who works with terminally ill patients. Efficient and dedicated to his

profession, he develops strong – even intimate – relationships with each person he cares for. But outside of his work David is ineffectual, awkward and reserved. He needs each patient as much as they need him. For years he has carried a burden of guilt and remorse. Now the weight has grown unbearable – David must return and face his past in order to heal.

26. 11./ 10:00 – 16:30 / Practical master class with Yves Cape

This is a practical masterclass where the participants will be able to assist to real shooting. Mr. Cape will show them how to compose a small etude - café scene on a real film set. The participants of the master class will receive a short scrip and they will have a unique opportunity to see how Mr. Cape works.


Cinergy with Juho Kuosmanen

Young Finnish director Juho Kuosmanen is coming to Prague to present his feature debut The happiest day of my life Olli Maki which was awarded as the best film of Un Certain Regard section at Cannes in 2016. On Wednesday, March 15 from 18:30 the director will personally present to preview screening with a following debate at Kino Pilotu.
