Cinergy with Rúnar Rúnarsson

Another of CINERGY master classes will be held in cooperation with FAMUFEST 2017 and it´s guest will be significant Icelandic director and scripwriter RÚNAR RÚNARSSON.

Master class will focus on work with actors, foremost on specifics of casting procedure and work with children and youth actors. The session will be hosted by Danish festival programmer and Midpoint training program co-operator Louise H. Johansen.  Rúnar´s short films will be shown as a part of the master class and the entry is free of charge.

Rúnar Rúnarsson is an Icelandic screenwriter and director, born in 1977 in Reykjavik Iceland. He lived in Denmark for 7 years and graduated from the National Film School of Denmark in 2009. Nominated for an Academy Award in 2006, the Golden Palm in Cannes 2008 and the European Film Awards in 2008, Rúnar is one of the most awarded short film directors in the world with 90 International awards for his last 3 short films (The Last Farm - 2004, Two Birds - 2008, Anna – 2009). His first feature film Volcano (2011) hat its premiere in Cannes, and won numerous awards. His latest feature film Sparrows (2015) was awarded the Golden Shell at the 63rd San Sebastián International Film Festival and got selected for many world festivals.
