Petra Soukupová (1982, Czech Republic)

She graduated from FAMU in Screenwriting and Script Editing in 2008. In the year 2007, she wrote her book K moři (Toward the Sea), for which she was awarded the Orten award and won nomination for the Magnezia Litera award for fiction. She wrote her BA screenplay based on the novel K moři, which placed first in the Barrandov&RWE competition. In 2009, she published her second book, a collection of three short stories – Zmizet (To Disappear) which won the Magnezia Litera award for the Best Book of 2009. She placed third in the Sazka competition for not-realised screenplays with her adaptation of one of the Zmizet stories – Na krátko. Recently, she has worked as a screenplay writer for the “Comeback” series.
