Attila Gigor


Attila Gigor (1978, Hungary)

He studied acting and in 2000 enrolled at the Hungarian Academy of Drama and Film where he was a student of Sandor Simo and Ferenc Grunwald directors. He made a number of award-winning short, documentary and experimental films during his studies before he became established as a writer-director. His first feature film, The Investigator (2008) won several awards at world festivals including Cleaveland IFF, Karlovy Vary IFF, Warsaw IFF and the Hungarian Critics Award in four main categories. In addition to film directing, he directs theater plays, acts and devotes his time to other art projects.
