This cabaret made its first TV appearance in 2002 presenting the viewers with an interesting sketch – Jonas Geirnaert and Lieven Scheire beated up a big teddy bear dressed as a giant bunny. The sketch definitely didn’t receive any positive acceptance. However, the good thing was that Koen De Poorter contacted both cabaret members and joined the group. Jelle de Beule, who had until then been their highly incompetent stage technician, completed the Neveneffeten quartet in 2004.
They have been touring the Netherlands and Flanders with their show and prepared some TV sketches too. Their latest TV show BASTA caused a lot of controversy as they managed to fool not only their audience but also some significant institution which led to the great turmoil in the local media.
The whole group will be attending thursday screening at Ponec Theatre and will share some interesting background stories about Neveneffecten shows and sketches. Attention please, Neveneffecten presentation is in English only.
